We founded Egan Construction to prove there is a better way.

Our company is built on honest communication, exceptional craftsmanship, professional project management, and treating every client’s home or business with the respect it deserves.

We aren’t trying to become the biggest contractor in Northern California.

We’re working to become one of the most trusted.

Where It All Started

Construction has always been part of my life.

Long before I was old enough to officially work, I spent my summers learning the trade from my neighbor, a licensed general contractor here in Sacramento.

Throughout the 1990s, we built new homes, remodeled existing homes, and completed restaurant renovations for many of Sacramento’s most respected restaurateurs. Those early years taught me lessons that still guide our company today: quality matters, details matter, and your reputation is built one project at a time.

In 2002, I started my own restaurant maintenance company, continuing to work with many of those same restaurant owners. Running that business reinforced something I still believe today: great service isn’t just about fixing problems; it’s about being dependable, communicating clearly, and showing up when people need you.

In 2006, my wife and I moved to San Diego, where I entered an entirely different industry as a professional sailboat rigger. I traveled throughout the world racing and repairing high-performance sailing yachts.

That experience demanded precision, teamwork, planning, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. On a racing yacht, shortcuts aren’t an option—and that mindset still influences how we approach every construction project.

In 2015, we returned home to Sacramento. I re-entered the construction industry, expanded my restaurant maintenance business, and acquired both a cabinet company and a demolition company. Those experiences eventually came together under one vision.

In 2018, Egan Construction was officially established.

Residential remodeling is the heart of what we do. From kitchens and bathrooms to additions, whole-home renovations, outdoor living spaces, and custom improvements, we enjoy the challenge of transforming homes into spaces families love.

We also perform select commercial remodeling and tenant improvement projects, bringing the same attention to detail, communication, and professionalism to business owners throughout the Sacramento region.
